anyone got a youtube link to remove the entire airbox unit from the top of the engine to gain access to fuel rail parts?

it looks to me like i yank HARD on 2 rubber grommet stays in the front, and, before doing so remove the air intake tube.

i tried yanking pretty hard on these grommets then shyed away. VW used these things and it didnt take that much to "pop" them up and off.

You do need to "yank" a fair bit, but you also need to remove the two bolts on the MAF sensor on the front right of the engine, and possibly remove the large clamp as well on the maf.
You may be able to get away with just removing the clamp (may need new adjustable one) and leaving the MAF attached to the airbox.
