It's no biggie, but something I've noticed quite recently on my HGT. When I deactivate the alarm using the button on the key, the red light inside the car stays on until I start the engine.

Just curious as to what it means.

it usually means the alarm was triggered whilst you were away from the car

Had the same issue chap,

Flashing 8 hz duration 2.5 sec-----door/bonnet/boot left open or switch faulty

"Flashing constant light duration 2.5 sec------volumetric sensor faulty"

I think it means the volumetric sensors (movement inside car) are de-activated.
Mine did this in the freezing cold weather so perhaps the cold air didn't have enough 'pressure' to arm the sensors.

Once the weather warmed up it stopped doing it.

Thanks for the replies!

The car is parked right infront of where I sleep, could be a one off but I'd imagine I'd hear my car go off if my car alarm went off, cant be certain though.

It may well be the cold weather, because last week it was on almost every day I got in, although this week, as it's warmed up, it's not been there 100% of the time.

Either way, will keep an eye (and ear!) on it and see what happens!
