My baby is 10 years old. Well, she was registered 10 years ago last week and that's how long we've been together and she's hardly ever let me down and she's done over 124,000 miles.

10 years and still on her first;
Engine
Gearbox
Clutch
Exhaust and cat
Injectors
Cylinder head gasket
Radio head unit
Front and rear wiper motors
Hand brake cable (never had it freeze up)

Her second;
Battery
Stalks
Clutch slave cylinder
Thermostat
Brake discs
Brake pipes
Cam belt and tensioner (Yes, I know. Next service, I promise!)

How dare people slag off Fiats!!!

10 years on an original exhaust! That has done well, I was impressed when the original exhaust on my 1990 Panda lasted for over 6
- tell it to a VW/Audi owner and watch them weep, lucky to get much more than 2 years outa their,(expensive) exhausts...

i agree. my exhuast is still original , although its been weld repaired, my mom has is now on her 3rd exhust on her civic, she only owned it for 18 months!

i no we slagg of quick fit , but its a good job they hav a 2 yr guarantee !:)

Trust me, lads, I'm not the most sedate of drivers. She gets pushed to the limit sometimes.

my Bravo HLX is 8 years old and 34,000 genuine. its still on the first everything apart from slave cylinder and front tyres!

On the other hand my Mk1 GT cortina is 42 years old and has had new everything!

its all down to how you look after em!

First exhaust?! I didn't know FIAT offerred them new with diamond coated exhaust systems! ;)
Nicely done chap. Shabash! will join that fold in the spring so we'll see how she compares then.

OI! Road safety nutters!! George Orwell ment '1984' to be a warning, NOT a template!

To be honest about the exhaust, she has failed the last 2 MOT tests because of leaks, which were then patched, then she passed.

Has no-one else found (sorry, slightly OT) that original exhausts always last for many years, and then replacements only ever last about 4 years? Every car i've had to replace the oe exhaust on has been at least 7 years old. The best was my first car, which had been in the family from new, and i replaced its exhaust when the backbox fell onto the road, at 10 years old!
The worst replacement was on a Renault 5, which didn't even survive 3 whole years iirc.
