Spotted this spoiler up for grabs but what strikes me as odd is given the amount of area of the spoiler that has glue on it, surely its seen from inside the car?

I can't get my head on where its adhered to on teh car itself? Is it partly on the paintwork, all on the paintwork or all on the glass?

Almost tempted but I really don't want any adhesive showing.

How have others done it?

Ive had 1 of these lying about for nearly 2 years and not got around to fitting it yet lol

The bit that is covered with glue sticks to the boot lid above the rear window.
The Glue will NOT BE SEEN, the spoiler is shaped to follow the curve of the boot lid,in a sense it fits over it.

Mines also has 4 small threaded holes, within the same area, small dowel bolts can be screwed into, then the same bolts can be bolted through the bootlid itself

will post a pic of mines in a minute.

yea it's me who's selling it
when i put it against my old car to see how it fitted the adhesive wasn't visible at all if you send me an email ill send you some more pics of it as it costs to put em on ebay

Let me know

The red rings are the bolt holes, the area circled green is the area which will attach to the boot, nothing within here will be seen.

i did wonder when i saw the name! but yea as i've said i'm unsure as to how much it will cost to send and i haven't got any boxes knocking about that it would fit in as it's a weird shape so thats why i put the only postage down as pickup

anyone sent one of these before and how did they go about doing it?

Adam

Thanks Kev for the pic. Can see the holes. I guess with drilling and adhesive it will certainly stay on!

Adam, yes received the pics thank you. As for packing, something like that could be mummified in bubble wrap rather than go in a box.

I recently had a whole rear bumper turn up for the coupe and it was mummified. Was protected well and was fine on delivery.

yea like i said i'm more than happy to post it i just have no idea as to what is gonna cost me... but if this is covered then it'd be fine

Adam

Ive sent 1 before in bubble wrap and brown paper

Cost me in the region of £10

15 quid was what i was thinking for delivery. So it should cover it nicely.

I am interested adam but will obviously hold out until closer to the auction end and see how its going. I have a price in my head so will see :)
