Hi,

Anybody know of a maintenance manual for a 1.9 JTD which shows changing the fuel filter please?.

I've got a 'Y' reg brava and my better 'alf has a punto with the same engine (in name anyhoo) on a 52 plate.

Haynes don't seem to do a manual for the JTD, just the petrol.

i beleive there are service manuals on ebay for a couple of quid, on cd.

as for a haynes manual i think you can get one for the JTD but only off the net and not in shops (i could be wrong on that one tho)

right... you have to unclip the yellow & blue wires (remember which when where).


Undo the 3 bolts holding the filter bracket and rotate it anti-closkwise to get it clear from all the wires and pipes.


You will have to put a towl or summit under the filter as it will leak deisel.


Un-screw the filter and remove it... then put a small smear of oil on the rubber seal and put the new 1 on.


reverse this process - REMEMBER TO REMOVE THE TOWL NOW SOAKED IN DIESEL!!


it's not too difficult... always easier the 2nd, 3rd, 10th time you've done it
