As some of you may remember about a month ago my car was caught in a flood and ended up a metre in water. I luckily got it running and dried out with new carpets etc and a full strip down. However it was over heating the engine now. So after checking radiator and stat etc I got my tool box out and took the cylinder head off yesterday! Luckily I have found that its only the headgasket that has failed so all being well should have her back on the road soon.

One question I do have is that the water seems to have damaged the airbag ECU. Can I just get another from the scrappers and do a like for like swap?

Yeah, I'm sure you can...I've actually got one sitting here taken from my drowned Bravo.

btw...good work getting the motor up and running again, I couldn't afford to fix mine
