fitted and connected the marea polys today and have a small problem.

the wiring for the dip and main beams is reversed.

I have main beam on permanently and dip beam only when i put main beam on at the stalk.

The wiring was correct on the original lights and all i did was unplug from one and plug into the other.

Anyone had this problem and know how to fix it without cutting the wires on the car?

That is a strange one, I wouldn't recommend cutting the wires. Just to make sure, when you're refering to the main beam you're taking about the light closest to the center of the car, and the dipped beam is the middle round light?

Yep thems the ones.

in car = dip beam, on light = Clear ones closest to centre of car

in car = Main/high beam, on light = Clear ones + the small round ones (cataract looking ones)

If it was light I'd have gone and had at look at how mine are connected, I'm sure all the connections are disimilar to one another, if noone's answered this by the time I get home from work tomorrow I'll have a look. The only wires I had to mess with were the sidelight ones but I never cut them.

I sorted the prob this morning.

I took the light back off and switched the wires around inside the light housing.

I dunno how or why they were different but they were wired wrong INSIDE the light unit. Simple enough job, just a bit annoying to have to take them off again :)
