i guys
just driving the motor back home and a metalic rattling sound started from the engine which stoped when i dipped the clutch.
nursed it home and got my stephascope out (short piece of 2 by 2) there isnt much sound from the cam belt area but loads from the shaft itself, so dunno which, if the tensioners was about to fail id have thought it would transfer stress to the shaft???......Is there a cam shaft oil feed problem on the 1.8 like the 1.4??
cheers any ideas please guys?? i was told the belt and pullies were changed when i bought it but on pulling back the cover slight the writing on the belt looks old!
its a 1996 1.8 with 94k
justin.
