Hello.

I have a problem with my bravo. It`s mk2 1.6 sx with 85 000 km. Few days ago it became almost impossible to get into 1st and 2nd gear. Sometimes there is a tearing noise when shifting to reverse.
When the car is turned off changing gears is easy but different story when i turn it on.
I checked gearbox oil and added about half liter but nothing changed.

Any advice? Please help.

Check your brake fluid level, may be the clutch slave cyl is leaking.

Checked brake oil level, looks ok.
Any other ideas?

Looks OK can mean anything. Is the clutch pedal smooth or does it feed odd?

Clutch pedal feels normal. Only strange thing is changing gears, very hard to get into 1st, 2nd and reverse. And gear lever makes noise while changing gears.

Reverse has no synchro.

Probably worth taking it to a garage for a check, hard to diagnose faults without seeing it.

Yep, i guess i will do that if i dont get any better idea.

Seems a common problem with 1.2 and 1.4 boxes, quite a few people post with that problem, sometimes changing the oil makes it go away, but it didn't on my 1.4. let me know what happens if you get it looked at, cheers.
