OK, I've had m bravo for a few months now and I only just noticed that my inside light doesn't come on unless the key is turned in the ignition (car doesnt have to be started, just turned to the switch before ignition). Is this right cos I thought the light should come on regardless?

Also, and this is my fault, when fittin my aftermarker stereo I thought I'd wired it right, can't see what's wrong, but when I turn the car off the stereo doesn't work and it resets everything. Any ideas?

Cheers guys.

Stereo is an easy one, swap the perm live and ignition live around. (more often than not its the red and yellow wires)

Have you got the door switch above your head activated to work on doors open?

Also does your glovebox light work with the ignition off or on?

My MK2 works only with Ignition on for the glovebox but the interior light works when doors open etc. It dims and undims. MK2 Feature.

Yeh have tried it. With the key out and the switch in place the light doesn't come on with the doors open. Neither does it come on when the switch is in the 'always on' position. As for the glovebox I'm not sure, I'll take a look tomorrow.

Same here, has the car got an aftermarket alarm? Fitting an alarm requires messing with the centre light wiring.
