Injector warning light

Lo all,

Have just had my '96 1.8 HLX back after having an engine from a '98 fitted into it because of the crank problems I had with mine!

The newer engine is running very well and is a lot smoother than my original.

The only problem I have noticed, which I think is very minor, is that no matter what gear the car is in, and at whatever revs be it 3000 or 6000, if you just press the accelerator flat to the floor, the injector warning light comes on until you lift your foot off slightly. But if you accelerate hard in each gear, but depress the pedal to just off maximum, the injector light does not come on!

So my question is, does the injector light coming on in the way described denote that the pedal is simply travelling too far and the bolt underneath the accelerator pedal just needs adjusting slightly!

Cheers all,

Gaz B

Probably dodgey injector or throttle sensor.

Get it on a fiat diag machine.
