Another stereo gone missing - another amp - and another sub in someone elses car!!!

Thats the Sony Mx250 MP3 - £450 - a pioneer 600 watt sub at £200 and an old old old alpine amp which was indestructable - littterally - 480 watts and cost new around £600. But that was years ago.

Add that lot to the new locks i need on drivers side and we are talking over £1300. Say good bye to the no claims bonus then - 2 yrs cuz some CNUT couldnt be arresed to work 4 his own sound system.

The dent from the fiat garage is still not repaired - the paint free dent removal was imposible.

Why do we bother with these nice cars when its always every 1 else that messess them up!

Any 1 want to make me a top vent that my stereo can go under 4 when i get a new 1?

All that to compliment a perfect date with a very nice young lady - dinner 4 2 and return to a broken into car! In a busy car park in view of all the windows - no1 saw ****!!! There is CCTV but prob not in the right direction - and i just bought a new facia 2 days ago from ebay costing £18 and that is smashed - 2 casses of CD's @ £20 a time is £400 aswell - cheers you thiefing scum of the f8&^kin% earth!!!!!!!!!

My Log book and service history. And yes i have insurance but i take it i will loose 2 yrs no claims and a £350 excess.

was anything on display?

in my experience... hidden stereos/speakers reduce the chances of your car being broken into (i know its obvious really!!!)

was your sterio facia still attached ? and chances are if you drive with your music blareing it attracts the wrong sort of attention.

and leaving cd's in your car etc ? i mean common these are simple things that no one should do i don't mean to insult you here but surley it is common knowlage that you dont leave anything in your car if it is on show or not.


my comiserations tho mate i would be devistated if it happened to me.

A bit too late i know, but www.autoaudioaccessories.co.uk sell a fascia with a panel over it to disguise your expensive stereo.

No musuc on when pulled up - no speakers or cds on display - and you cant get a sony mp3 from a scrappy can you - rub it in why dont you!

I learned the hard way too mate when my car was broken into while me and my woman was at Derby pictures. She wanted to watch that pile of poo called moulin rouge with that aussie bird init. Anyway we was in there for 30 min's & we had had enough so we thought we'd go for a meal. came outside to car & pile of glass on floor. You've guessed it Cd player and my cd's all gone . as well as most of the heater control panel (it was a golf) But they left her shania twain cd. Weird.Cd player goes everywhere with me now.

i want a fake cd cover. but that dont look real to me so i was thinking of removing the face off mine and putting that in.

it doesnt look THAT real up close, but a thief looking thru the window probably wouldnt be able to tell the difference.

The point of the cover isnt to look 100% real, its just to deter casual thiefs. Of course if you drive around with your music blaring all the time they are gonna know you have a big sound system, i make a point of never having my music on loud within half a mile of home.
