Hi, I bought a new bravo about six ago. When I got it home, I washed and polished it and noticed that the paint had terrible orange peel. The car as a several year paint warranty and I was wondering weather anyone else has had this problem and fait sorted it. I'm not complaining to Fait just yet because I know they'll give me the run around. Cheers David.

fiat black

Yeah i have the same problem on mine, it's Fiat black if that makes any difference. 1997 model.

orange peel

I don't think you'll get anywhere by complaining, because Fiat won't see it as a problem. Most manufacturers have 'orange peel' these days, because of the way they're painted, and the types of paint used.

However, they do tend to be a damn site more rust proof than a decade ago, and of the two problems I'd prefer orange peel.

Black

Black is probably the mose susceptible paint 4 orange peel but saying that, my 97 Ink Black HGT has no traces as yet. I think taking good, regular care and using good paint & polishing products helps a great deal.

Just my 2 cents ! :)

Rob.

Thanks for your replies. I think i'll have to live with it, cos there's no way I'm paying to get a brand new car re-sprayed.
