My Ducato's oil light takes a second or so to extinguish on the first start of the day, presumably because the oil is draining back into the sump when the engine's stationary (the oil filter is horizontal). I believe oil filters have an anti drain flap or membrane to prevent this. I wondered if users had any experience of different brands of oil filter? Are some better than others in this respect? I'm currently using a Mahle oil filter.
