I have bought a Ducato 92 motorhome and I am preparing it for technical inspection.
My problem is that I can't find the Vin number potition. I found only a Vin plate above the front right headlight.
Is anybody can tell me where is the vin(chassis) number stamped???

Hello
This number generally appears on the right front of the vehicle, cold stamped (stamped) on the side member. Very often it is found on the passenger step.

Warning: you can find the number engraved on riveted plates, but these are not taken into account for technical control: a "cold stamping" number must be engraved directly on a structural element of the vehicle, not on a removable plate ..

As above, I can find reference to it possibly being under the cab carpet just inside the step,

I would think passenger side on your LHD vehicle, but it may be the driver side.

(on later vehicles, it was in the step/footwell covered by a plastic flap)

The stamped VIN should be in the right-hand side floor panel alongside the seat, between the outer edge of the seat and the door opening. On a RHD van it starts quite close to the point where the handbrake cable runs through the floor. I had to look at the stamped VINs on a lot of those vans (Fiat, Talbot, Citroen, Peugeot) back around 2008 though, and even then on more than a few the floors had rotted away or corroded to the extent that it was no longer visible. You might just possibly have better luck by looking up at the underside of the floor panel from below if you can't find any sign of it from above. That might also give you an indication if the panel has been replaced or welded too.

Edit - just found this. I knew I had an image somewhere!
