Any ideas what this code is about there seems to be widely different definitions of the cause of this code
some say ABS pump motor voltage issues = open or short circuit at ground

others say speed sensor front LHS ???

Did you SEARCH them on here.. ?

You often find a thread with it mentioned..sometimes with a fix

What spec vehicle.. ?what brought you to scan for errors.. and what did you use to get these codes ??

ecumulti scan was used for the reading error codes c1219/16 which indicates ABS pump issue, the fuel pump is fine as I drove it back from the garage as I understand the c1219 is a manufacturer specific code so the code is not the same across the makes of vehicle..

the common denominator is the ABS pump, as I have had the ABS recently repaired by ECU testing comes with a life guarantee, so going to have to return it for it to be eliminated as we did not have this fault before. the other fault was the speedo not working and inferring the speed señor was faulty which was not the case.

I think these ABS pump have an electronic hybrid substrate with fine bond wires, I am not sure but they corrode possibly due to the wrong flux or inadequate cleaning before being conformal coating. I expect there is a high impedance solder joint that is causing this problem.

The pump was returned to ECU and another fault was found!! they now tell me it is not repairable only a new pump will do!!!!!! I only drove the van to garage and back 5 miles and no has a terminal fault having had it just repaired not happy. Doe s make you wonder!! So searching for a replacement ABS pump number on pump 0265805024 which I think the Fiat part number is 71754706. Do you have to programme these ABS when a new one is fitted to the vehicle?

Long video on abs repair but this guy is a genius not giving up and finding fault after trying two or three abs ecus.

Just watched it all, and I have to agree, but just look at the state of the wiring, which is meant to be out of harms way! Come on Fiat- must do better!!!
