Hi could anyone help .

we have a 2001 2.8 JTD which has the 3 pin computer hook up plug as opposed
to the modern OBD11 style .

I have both bluetooth + cable OBD 11 readers but i see there is a plug adapter
to take me from Fiat 3 pin to OBD .
Using this adapter what level of info can i get and will it work using a bluetooth
plug in .
I'm quite happy to buy the necessary plugs cables etc even any software req.
but am i waisting my time and money .

Sorry, can't really help. But, I would stay away from bluetooth as it is another possibly flaky link in the chain. Have a look at Multiecuscan on t'internet, I have the registered version but the trial one can do quite a lot. There are adaptors for sale from www.gendan.co.uk who will cheerfully advise. Have a word with them. Generic fault code readers are usually not helpful on Ducs, and will IMHO be even more so on older ones.
