I need to get a cable into the engine compartment on 2018 X290. Can anyone point out where there is a suitable grommet?

Did you sort it? if so how.
I have been thinking its needed myself but its too cold and dark to go searching

Take care there, I once read a post (I think) by Mantra Fiat repairers in Adelaide Australia that said they had repaired several vehicles with damaged wire harnesses due people trying to route wires through the wrong grommet. They suggested a safer route, you may be able to search for this info. Repair cost was perhaps $6000+!!

Yes I wanted to do this for an alternater temp sensor. I found the obvious grommet where cables went through but it was a double wall with one grommet out of sight so was too difficult and tight with the cable loom. So I passed the wire underneath and back into the cab. It lasted for 20 years okay. I also did the same for a B2B heavy cable no problem. Just make sure they are well secured, do not effect future work and well away from hot bits, OR find the proper way through.....
