Mines in for service Monday overnight, will mention this, along with a big list of issues, inc the flat spots 60-70mph

Well just parted with £849 yes £849 for 60k service plus brakes stripping, cleaning and lubrication of calliper sliders, hopefully to avoid the annual winter seizures

After kicking off reduced to £708!!

Recall, parts ordered, won’t tell me what, but the recall

WILL

Rectify my on off power surges 60-70 mph, the poor performance (ok up to 60 but feels like your thrashing the life out of it to reach 70, and also it will solve the random flashing odometer (tried proximity alignments) and random air bag warnings

Hmmmmm [emoji848][emoji848][emoji848]

Just a heads up just got of the phone to Fiat they are recalling the new euro 6 for a EGR pipe replacement
Does anyone know how potentially serious this EGR pipe recall is .Im touring in my motor home in Spain and its been a nightmare trying to get in touch with the customer service team for Spanish speaking assistance Im tempted to ignore the recall and carry on with our trip,

Have done 15k miles since the recall in November i did ask them if it would cause any damage continuing to use the vehicle and they assured me it would be fine other than the surging and lack off power and bad fuel economy they can't get mine in until April 20th to change the pipe and cooler after initially being booked in for January 10th also i have no other option to use mine as its a car transporter so no there replacement vehicle available

Hi anybody having a new heat exchanger should ask the dealer to see the photo of broken part which the fiat dealer must have or your fiat dealer won’t get new exchanger authorised it’s a lot better system could put your mind at rest other idea get camera scope off eBay and have a look at it yourself I have seen photos on this site showing area to look

I was kindly told by Fiat customer “not” care
DO NOT drive it, dealer should have told you not to drive it, letter (I never read due to dealer telling me recall needed early December at last service, and letter turning up at Xmas)

Dealer can claim for funding to hire a replacement vehicle (hmmm) whilst pipe is on backorder

I called dealer to tell them, and to start claiming (they probably already were!!)
And as if by magic a pipe was immediately available

Robbed off a Motorhome job I later find out

Pipe and heat exchanger etc fitted 10 days ago
30,000 miles after diagnosis

Still runs ****
Power surges are worse
Feels like someone is nipping up either air flow or fuel flow for a split second or two, or when you throttle up after coasting, there’s nothing there then it boosts

It runs quieter but then goes really tappetey at times, fuel has improved back up to 27/29 from 24mpg

Make Sure They Allign the Steering properly!!

Still thinking of throwing a new turbo pressure solenoid on to see if that helps

Forgot to add, they did the air pipe to throttle valve recall too
Shiny new over tight jubilee clip on pipe lol

Found this of another forum there are 3 revisions to the recall

https://goo.gl/images/ziRwvt

The latest Kit consists of the following Parts ref Bulletin 475

Part Number

5802131785 Heat Exchanger
55279934 Pipe
5802119659 Sending Unit
5801837075 Alternator

Seemingly if the pipe and cooler are cracked and have been for a long time damage to the alternator can occur due to hot gases escaping

I am bloody pleased I own a 1996 model as I would not be able to put up with all this **** I would have to be locked up before I would kill some one. what a bloody nightmare plus paying tens of thousands for the privilege.

I have just taken delivery of a new A class motorhome 2.3 180 Bhp and on signing up for the Fiat Camper app discovered that it’s already been recalled. Have emailed the Fiat Assistance people twice in the past week with no response. Anybody have any ideas what this recall is for? Chassis number is ZFA25000002F54870. Thanks.

There have been two recent recalls. The first was for the EGR pipe replacement. Checking the recall notice below shows yours as just outside the recall which finished at 02F21177.
The second is for replacement of the turbo hose clamp at the throttle control. Check yours as per the photo, which shows the original clip, which is to be replaced by a jubilee clamp.
Give up with Fiat central and phone a Fiat professional garage. I am sure they will check for you against your VIN number. Adams Morey in Bournemouth are very helpful 01202 524422
