Thanks.

You need a working key to disengage the release tab otherwise you'll have to do it destructively.

I'm assuming it's the ignition lock you want to remove the core from? What is it your trying to do remove the lock from the van or you have the lock out already and want to remove the core from the lock?

Hello.
Thanks for reply.
There is a bug in the ignition switch.
The supply of the parts are not shipped only the switch it is necessary to replace the ignition lock on assembly.
However, cylinder core is shipped as a single unit in the catalog.
Therefore, I want to delete the existing core from ignition lock.
So I thought it was a simple do not take.
Best regards.
thanks.

If you have the later type lock with central cut in the key where the ignition barrel and it's housing are all metal then you turn the key until you can press in the catch on the side and it pulls out. If you have the earlier type with the key that is cut on the sides. With the lock set in a black plastic surround. Then these are a bit more difficult. There are two pins that go through the outer metal sleeve into the black plastic. You need to drill the pins out. Once they are out there is a catch in the side you need to depress to remove the plastic section complete with the lock. To remove the lock from the plastic you need to remove the catch in the side and the lock will pull out.

If you can't turn the key to depress the release tab try removing the switch, then pull out the gear that turns the switch. This can be the source of a sticking ignition also there is a small plastic pawl in here that prevent the switch from moving into the start position twice. Theres a post on here that describes it. when you reassemble you'll need some stud locker like loctite
