Hi guys,
I have a 1991 Hymer based on a ducato 2.5 ltr non td 290 bus. As with a lot of other people, my exhaust manifold broke and sheared a stud.
I have lifted the head and replaced all the parts and pulled out the stud.
I have also bought a flexi pipe for the first part of the exhaust downpipe.
Hopefully this will cure all the problems in the future.
Here is the rub.
Whilst dismantling the thermostsat housing one of the heater hose connectors was so badly corrded the pipe part came waway leaving just the thread. I thought I would buy a replacement, it looked like a standard 3/8 bsp to 16mm i/d hose straight connector.
Ordered one and it is too big. The threaded part is about 0.6mm too big.
The od of the original is 15.8mm and the 3/8 bsp is 16.4mm.
Should I get a tapered 3/8 bsp or is this one a wierd size that I haven't seen before.
I am all ready to put the van back together but this is holding me up
Any suggestions greatly received.

PS I don't seem to be able to find a part number for this or anyone who sells anything like it.

Cheers
Pete
