My 2004 Camper with 2.3 turbo diesel has blown off a turbo hose while my son in law was using it in France, any comments or experiences with this problem.

Stick it back on and tighten the clamp properly using a socket. I had it happen on a Opel Vivaro. All was fine till about 200 miles further some little EGR valve started to leak and sent the main ECU into get home safe mode, a cable tie fixed that.About 2000 miles later and it eventually wrecked the head after the lower coolant bottom hose split.

Thanks for the info. The problem was a crimped-on version of a jubilee clip and a very small 'lip' on the cast alloy housing. After using zip-ties they managed to obtain a proper jubilee clip and all was well, the holiday continued after a long night of worry for all concerned. We now carry a suitable spare (this should ensure it never happens again).
