i have a 2003 ducato 2.3 jtd that has developed a problem.
the engine managment light comes on after about 5 miles but the vehicle continues to run fine, but if i switch off, sometimes, it will not restart until it cools down.
the temperature guage reads normal and there is no overheating.
the rac checked it out and said his laptop couldnt download much info but he got a temperature reading of over 200 degrees C.
it seems to me that a sensor might be sending a signal that there is a overheating problem when there isnt.
any ideas ???
