Hi all.
I had a full service and a new clutch fitted to my ( 2004 ) 54 11JTD ducato last year ( 13000 miles ago ) and now suddenly the clutch pedal bite is 1 cm from the top and its a bit jagged to get it into gears.
Theres NO SLIP in any gear and no judder
The dealership wants to charge me for a rear main oil seal so that they dont loose out on the 8 hours labor costs etc and im ademant its the clutch, surely the clutch would slip if its covered in oil?????
Im going to be there when the gearbox is dropped and im wondering if this is the correct thoughts?????
If the clutch plate is dry its the clutch and therefor a new clutch and all the works under warrantee, but if its oily then its contamination by oil and the seals have gone and i have to pay out over £600.
Can anyone confirm the dry plate theory as its in for work tommorow and i want to go in with pre knowledge.
Thanks
Pete
