Can anyone tell me if there were a lot of changes to the Doblo after around August 2002. Seen one on that Auction site and it looks to be buyable.:)
Still looking for a new 7k jtd(y)

I don't think there were apart from the Doblo then getting a JTD engine instead of the N/A Diesel. I think it was 2004> that they changed the interior (I seem to remember them being different when I was looking at both pre and post 2004 models) although I'm not sure on the mechanics of it.

... and you are unlikely to have ABS brakes, although it stops well enough without. Other changes = blanked off key slots on rear doors and natty round Fiat badge on rear!

Mine is a 2004 model, which you would expect to have ABS... but actually it doesn't so maybe ABS wasn't a standard option!

And yes my keyholes are blanked off and I have the round Fiat Crest :)

ABS was standard only on the Family in 2004 - one of the reasons for me buying one was having pranged a car where ABS would have prevented the accident. It was a reasonable trade off - 1.3 multijet versus ABS & EBD. Not enough power to get me into trouble plus the braking assistance to stop when I needed it.

Believe me driving around Heathrow with all the spilt diesel fuel you need ABS.

I've tested it out before in the wet on a long wide (and of course unused) road and I have to say with no-one in the back the rear end did pull round to the left slightly but all 4 wheels skidded and of course steering was out of the question. Other than that it pulled up fairly sharpish and straight although if you can't steer and you are skidding the chances of you getting out of a situation are slim even if you are going in a straight line.

Do you work at Heathrow or just around the outskirts?
