Re: Load sensing valve spring

I have had numerous comments from mot inspectors that something was not right with the valve it's not seized so I'm guessing the tension spring not adjusted properly so I purchased a new upgraded one from a seller on ebay he says as long as there is no tension on the spring when the van is unladen it should be OK I was just looking on the forum for other members thoughts on this

Re: Load sensing valve spring

Can only advise that adjustment needs testing to ensure rears are breaking at required forces per manufacturers spec..

Re: Load sensing valve spring

Fitted a new valve to mine last month, a new valve comes with a tight band compressing the spring to a fixed length, you fit the spring in the compressed state then remove the band, and jobs done, tested on brake tester and itís spot on. If l still have the band l could stick it in the post for you, will check in morning to see if l still have it.
