This is/was the leaking sump on my 6 year old dobbin, seems a bit early for a sump to be this bad. It was replaced and cost a lot, wish I had known and got the hammerite out before it sprung.

Had exactly the same issue on our 2006 Doblo.
Managed to catch it in time and coated it in POR15 (which seems pretty nuclear).
So far no problems since, but I agree that it is poor for them to rust through at such an age.

John, what engine have you got? The 1.2's will be prone to sump rust as happens on the punto/pandas but never known a 1.9 etc to have rusted sump.

Petrol 1.4 FIRE, fully integrated rusty engine.
