I am trying this again as my last thread does not seem to appear anywhere that anyone can see...

Our Fiat Doblo has been failed at it's MOT due to the brake pedal depressing further when tested at MOT and a small amount of residue was found around the back axle, however, there is not leak of any fluid whatsoever! I have had the wheels off and have not experienced any problems on the road.

It was only picked up at MOT when the vehicle was on the ramps, beforehand had performed perfectly normally on the rolling road.

We have a multijet 1.9 on an 07 plate.

Any suggestions on what should be our next step would be very much appreciated.

Cheers.

If there are no leaks (have you had the drums off and checked wheel cylinders?) then could be issue with the brake servo. If you have never experienced a problem and car is ok now could take it elsewhere for MOT but remember the safety of your passengers and other road users.

Yes we did have the brake drums off and have trialed the brakes, all is as new.

We then tackled our MOT station about it this afto and they have taken on board the work we have done to check, have retested and said no further work required. We have been given our new ticket.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply and try to help.

Lovin the GSD!
