Hi, I'm due to take delivery of my Doblo 1.9jtd in ten days time.

As I enjoy kayaking I thought it would be easy to get roof vars for what is basically a working van but....
....looking on the Thule site in the UK (and elsewhere) there is no listing?
The nearest I got was in an online store here in the UK that had a listing for Thule on a 'Doblo 5 door van' - I don't want to sound stupid but is there any known difference between a van and the estate/panorama version?
For instance are there 'hard' fixing points on the commercial versions that don't appear on the others? The set I currently have for my mk2 Punto Sporting has one 'hard' point above the doors and the back feet attach roughly anywhere above the rear hinge opening windows.
If anyone has, or knows someone who does have, Thule bars could you let me know the part numbers if possible?
Thule in the UK have a snail mail contact but no e-mail address that I could find on their site.

I bought my Doblo JTD in July 02 and got the dealer to install the three roof bars then. They are simply three horizontal bars bolted into some plastic receivers in the roof. Maybe you could email them for details, their website is www.johnlinnanemotors.ie .

I've just had Fiat roof bars fitted to my Doblo. Because the Doblo is a van not a car the bars are technically van roof bars. The consequence is that at 36mm square it is very difficult finding accessories that fit them. For cycle carriers Fapa make a good carrier that fits but I think most Thule accessories will only fit 22mm car roof bars or possibly aero-bars.

With a Doblo you can fit Thule roof bars which use a gutter fitting rather than the screw fixing points. Obviously with Thule roof bars, all Thule accessories will fit.

Hi, I purchased my original bars from car-roofracks for my Punto.
As you mentioned if you want to go with commercial or FIAT bars you can be stuck with accesories that don't fit - as I would be. I think I managed to track down the unique fit part of the THULE system at http://www.autow.co.uk/
This still allows me to use my existing #750 foot pack & I can use 'standard' #762 bars that my accesories will fit.
When I get my Doblo home on Wednesday guess the first thing I'll be checking...
