Has anyone tried fitting a bigger intercooler to their Doblo JTD to increase power? I had a look down there and there is lots of space for a bigger one, though I'm not sure from what car / van I can get one yet. Must visit a few scrappies....

We give them an extra 40-45bhp from a remap and it improves the fuel consumption. Youonly really need to go for an intercooler to get them over 160bhp but by then you clutch is going to suffer.

The follwoing stats are from an '02 1.9 JTD (s=Seconds) (g= G Force) and (ft= distance in feet) so you can see 0-60 took 12.29 seconds and we had travelled 638 feet before 60 was reached. Then after tuning this had been reduced to 60mph coming up in 9.48 seconds and just 481 feet - 2.81 seconds quicker and 157 feet shorter distance.

I can vouch for this 100% - our 2.2JTD Ulysse was remapped, and the difference is immense - very similar performance gains, if I recall.

Hmmm mapping eh!
Recently we had a motorsport show here and I priced a remap at €700. I figured that was way too much, and so thought I could get about 10 - 15 bhp more from a bigger intercooler picked up in a scrap yard...
