service time is near for me last years service had to go back the garage soon after the service because thay did't or could't reset the oil degration light. (mine is a 2006 120 diesel with dpf) was just wondering for people who dont use main dealer how do you get the lights reset the garage who serviced mine say that thay can't turn the oil warning and service lights off till thay come on and i think thay dont come on at the same time.

or would i be best to let fiat do my service

its not the service light thats important its the oil degredation counter...failure can result in damage so its just not worth it really is it.

Do shop around for best deal though as work is thin on the ground and your likely to get good price

warington fiat are the cheapest 4th year service £160 thats the chepest and im happy with that but as for oil degretion when will garages (other than fiat) be abel to reset that oil light

I plan to do my own service ( I have the tools and a pit) and then get the local Fiat dealer to do whatever I can't - not too sure what that involves - any thoughts on my plans please?

I would leave oil change to dealer so they can reset oil deg counter, vital on the 1.3MJ with DPF engine.
