Hello guys,my croma is giving me jip again.This time im surmissing one or more of the parking sensors.It reads "parking help not available".
Ive purchased one new sensor and fitted it in place of each old sensor respectively.
But we still have the same warning on the dash.Could it be more than one?
Does anyone know weather fiat ecu scan would show which sensor it is before i buy more of them.
Also what will i need to get fiat ecu scan up and running?

Funny thing was when i switched it of it was perfect.Came back to it about 2weeks later started it up and ding we have this fault.Bloody annoying,its on my drive now with no back bumper on it.Not to worry it,ll be fixed one way or the other.
 
Lots and lots of good info at the end of the thread here.

Remove the parking sensor module which will clear the fault, then get a cheap set off ebay. Much cheaper in the long run...hope this helps.

PS did you get your 'judder' sorted out?

Thanks for all the info guys,i have just looked at the attatched file.I have also ordered fiat ecu scan today.
As for the juddering it went into a dealer and had a download.We dont seem to drive it now very often as the wife has a new 500 and i have my van.But when i have drove it,it still feels like its going to do it but up to now it hasnt.
The next/if occasion it plays about im going to replace the MAF as i understand this controls when the EGR cylinder opens?
Hopefully fiat ecu scan will give us a better idea which way were going.
I know my luck it,ll be the bloody ecu.cheers
 
Well a quick update,Fiat ecu scan arrived the morning after the night i orderd it.Very good service from Grendam via ebay.Loaded it on to my work laptop and got it running.
Jesus this stuff is very good,connected up straight away,anyway went in to Valeo parking control and it showed up right hand parking sensor internal fault.But then the cars battery went flat.Dam.
Fitted a new battery tonight as that was the original,not bad 5years old.Connected up Fiat ecu scan again,moved the new sensor to that position and all is fine again.Cleared fault.Greeeeeaaaaat.
Daft thing is though i tried the new sensor in that position first with the bumper on.
I took the bumper off to gain access to all the sensors Dave.Very easy to do,although i had mine off 12months ago to fit a tow bar.

I know what your saying,only thing is if i leave it for say 2weeks untouched it will be flat.If i jump start it and go for a run it,ll stay charged for a week or so.But i do think 5years is enough for a battery so i would have changed it anyway.
The alternators are a bit suspect to,ive got one in my workshop with just the clutch pulley gone on it so i.ll get this serviced i think.She has done just over 50k now so she might be ready for one.Well impressed with fiat ecu scan though.
Can anyone tell me what proxy alienment is please.thanking you.
 
Proxi Alignment is a proceedure where the Body Computer / Central system database is instructed to investigate and register all found system nodes (node = control unit).

Simply if your car has no Valeo parking sensors and you decide to buy the bits and fit them then you would have to do a Proxy Alignment for these to be registered and become functional. Conversely if you have them but they don't work and you get fed up of the warning/error messages then if you remove the sensor system and do a proxy alignment then the parking control system will be deregistered from the cars systems and you won't be bothered again.

This is the basic simple explanation.

Yep will do,the bumper is still off.How do i post pictures on here?Dah bit thick is me!
