Hello,
I'm a US expat living in Serbia. I purchased a high spec 110kw 2005 Croma with 146000 kilometers imported from Italy. I am experiencing intermittent hill holder failure on contact or during driving. Has anyone experienced this and can shed some light or at least knows where this esp computer is located. Sincerely, Steven

May be something as simple as an ABS sensor causing loss of information to the ECU as lots of functions rely on these sensors - have you had the car checked for fault codes?

HTH.

Ok thanks, I will check the brake switch and abs sensors. Yes the car was checked on EXAMINER before purchase and showed intermittent failure dont know the exact code but now I see break switch is a problem with other Fiat models. Thanks.

I have a 150bhp auto that had the same problem which took 6 months to sort out. Is yours auto or manual?

I take it that no fault codes are showing up, they never did on mine. The garage changed all manner of things and installed all kinds of software updates before they discoverd a stray bit of metal in one of the ecus shorting out the circuit board (well that's what they said it was).

Anyway the problem was sorted and so far hasn't resurfaced in over a year.

Wish you can resolve the problem soon.(y)
