Hi all!
I've recently become owner of a Croma (2005, 150 Cv Emotion), I love the car and the way it drives and I want to solve the only withdraw it has asap.

I'm referring to the lack of mp3 reading in the standard cd unit, I also would like to install a GPS and I think that a 2din unit (similar to NAV+) from pioneer ... would be the best choice.
Please, anybody has installed a unit of this size in their Cromas? Seems there's no 2din fascia apasper on the market!

Does anyone know if there is actually space for an 2-DIN unit in the Croma??? Perhaps this is the reason for no 2-DIN fascias on the market?!

Maybe the depth of the NAV+ Fiat is shorter than aftermarket units?, but for example the Pioneer web page does not list the AVIC 2 DIN unit as Croma compatible, only de 1 Din (sliding screen...) unit.
I have seen an Italian web saying that a new 2 din adapter for Croma 2008 is about to arrive
Another option (on the cheap side) is the FIAT ipod cable (Fiat part 50901536 I believe) that connects to the blaupunkt radios cd changer connector, but not sure if this will work with the Croma Radio and if it can handle the Ipod Touch

Who want's a 1-DIN sliding screen unit i a 2009 car?!
I will try to remove the original radio when I get my Croma 2.4 next week and if someone makes an 2DIN adapter it is possible to install a 2DIN unit. We will just have to wait:cry:

yes that's the Italian site I also found, also there's a company called DigitalDynamic that seems to have an adaptor available!

Perfect! Then it will be no problem to fit an Pioneer unit. I think it will only be a matter of time before you can buy this adapter everywhere.

so it should be available at the end of this month, they also posted a picture on how it will look like (provisional)​

the double din facia is advertised for the 2008 onwards I wonder if it is the same as the 2005 model? My Italian is none existent

I am 100% that it is the same part. Can't se any difference on the radio in my 2008 and the one in the old model.
