I bought a new Croma three weeks ago and have an intermittent starting problem which garage at present cannot replicate.
Car starts form cold and runs smoothly. If I stop and return to restart after about 10/15 mins sometimes there is a horrific misfire/engine vibration/noise. You think the engine is about to go into outer space. The engine will eventually stall after about 3 secs if I do not switch off. Continuous restarting at the dealership did not show the fault.
Any ideas?

I got the same mine is a 2.4, the dealer have tried all sorts for two years now no fix !

This should show a fault code. Best place to start is alfaowner.com these 2.4's have been in far more Alfas than Fiats. A good search will show up loads of possibilities. Also a good independant Alfa repair shop would be the best place to try, where are you?
