hey guys,my coupe is in the garage at the min having a new seal at the bottom of the dip stick pretty big job i think,but i ve not had a price yet as no idea of labour time does any 1 know how much this will or should cost me????

have no idea, didnt you ask for an approximation from the garage before having the work done; cost of parts, price an hour for labour, and how long they think it will take?

E.g i had my breaks done, i supplied the parts and asked a local specialist how much labour was and how long the job should take.

like the manifold - all in £500, I wouldnt get work done that i had no idea what i was going to be paying, its a coupe, you'll get ripped off any chance people get, thats why i took mine to a specialist, they sympathise with coupe owners generally.

Shelton - you should have asked for an estimate before you let them undertake the work. Knowing hairy arse mechanics they will milk the job for all it's worth

i know mate thats y i kept asking but they said they dont know till they start gits!!!! its convenient down thd road

you should really go to a decent garage, one that is reccomended, the problem is with coupes, they arent a car that normal garage will deal with often, if you take it to a specialist it tends to work out cheaper cos they know the car inside out

yeah i know its just tricky cause its not on the rd yet

if they dont know what it will cost then they wont know what they are doing, go get car back before they brake loads of bits an charge you for doing it
