Has anyone fitted this center console cover in link below?

This is more or less sticky stuff that's (obviously) stuck on over the dash board or centre console. Quite expensive for what it is. Coop owners have sprayed their centre consoles in the past. Either the colour of car or piano black looks really good. Of course this is just my opinion, but that stuff is expensive for what it is, as I said.

That wood stuff looks horrible. And people tend to use petrol or summit and rub the crap off.

The 3M carbon fiber sticker looks like it would be good for some of the trim.

Yeah that stuff looks much better.

Although the carbon effect looks much better, I've never seen the point in pretendy stuff. Still each to their own. Meths is what you want to take off the black gunk on the centre consul by the way

Piano black looks awesome. The rubbery crud they put on the centre console is a nightmare to remove, it's a two day job

Must be a quicker way with industrial chemicals :chin:. I need to do mine so I may experiment with various stuff I have lying around.

Speaking of center consoles, im thinking of puting my boost gauge were my clock is.

How difficult would it be to take the clock out without damaging it?

I know how to wire up a boost gauge , so its just a case of removing the clock and sliping the boost gauge in.

When I purchased my Coop, it came with the boost gauge where the clock was meant to be couldn't read / see the gauge properly. Not the best place in my opinion. I had it moved to the r/h corner of the screen in a bespoke pod. Other places have been adopted by Coop owners, but its like food....

that wood trim is :yuck:

I pulled mine out and sprayed it Piano black, gives it a lovely look with the Yellow through the dash too.
Used oven cleaner to strip the old sticky crap off
