deos anyone know what dump valve is best for the 20vt i want the whoooooshhhhhh noise but iv found in the past somtime some can affect you idle what best to go for baileys or forge ?twin piston or single piston and what are the trumpet dump valves on ebay like deos anyone know:confused: :):):)

did you have any problems with it at all i tryied my mates trupet one today and it funny enough made the car have alot more lag and idle was affected to is the bailey piston one the best one to go for then cheers

Bailey have a bad reputation, but I have to say mine was excellent. Forge are highly regarded, and any genuine Jap tuning firm will be good in my experience (Blitz, HKS, Apexi etc) but not the "blitz style" cheapo copies and the like on ebay, that are pants.

you should only fit a recirc DV to a 20VT, as the ECU can get confused by the loss of metered air when using a recirc

Most popular DV for 20VTs is the Forge DV006, but make sure you specify the green spring and make sure you fit it the right way round

i did think this to start off with but was told by many tuning companys its fine to have a normal one on a 20vt

If you use a twin piston Atmospheric then you will be ok, the reason they are twin piston is so that they can be used on a car with a MAF. The second piston prevents the introduction of unmetered air into the intake.

The Forge Recirculate type are good as well though, it really depends if you want an audible dump.
