Firefox vs Internet explorer vs google

Firefox vs Internet explorer vs google

imo IE will easily remain the market leader for the foreseeable future, however i think google will shoot up to second place fairly quickly, stealing most of its users from IE.

the others will remain in their stagnant states suppored by the same old minority of wannabe geek followers who mainly turn away from IE only because it is MS. they do not understand the technology behind browsers, or the jargon used to describe it, so they will never understand why their choice is so wrong.

i use both firefox and ie gotta say ive never had a problem with firefox but ie on the other hand :bang::bang::bang::bang::bang:

I have trouble with both on certain sites. Flash is killing them, tried opera and its the same so looks like its time to reinstall flash :bang:

Only problem I've ever had with FF is it doesnt like letting memory go once its started to use it, but with 3GB who cares :D

i've never had a problem with any browser on any platform, so imo its a case of PICNIC.

(or in the case of memory usage been a 'problem' then its due to a crappy computer. get your gigs out)

Well big business cares, which is why Firefox will never be the most used browser. If it soaks up more MBs than IE then nobody is going to spend the time removing IE in order to have worse memory and CPU usasge.

:yeahthat:

A browser is a browser tbh. I use Opera Mobile on my HTC Touch Diamond, I.E 6 at work and Firefox at home. Use them all and don't have a favourite I certainly don't have memory leaks on firefox though.

I never said businesses should, most I've worked for have always cited licensing as being the issue with anything that gets requested (google toolbar seems to be a firm favorite )

FF is fine and dandy till it goes over 300MB then it doesnt let things go too happily but how many business employees in your average office need 300MB for that? (that was after 3 days of not closing any tabs and not turning it off just to experiment with what would happen).

Less work and standardisation make it easier for admin to know what is (or in some cases still not know) what could be causing issues.

Why have I got FireFox? the autoconfig at uni could get on with FireFox but not IE

on my laptop is use ie 6 - it has a smaller footprint. but on my main pc, i like opera for its mouse gestures, and speed dial page, and the address bar searching is useful too.

Erm... whats 'memory leak' ??

Oops, found it on wikipedia thing, sorry...

I've got one of them webbook things that run's linux so IE is out.... Opera? It comes with FF as standard but it's not got that much memory to start off with in the first place..

Just had a play with Google Chrome beta version BUT no integration with Google's own toolbar, and so all my bookmarks haven't come across!!! :bang:

I do love my Google toolbar, especially when using a multitude of PCs.

My Links moved across, but it seems it doesn't pick up the online bookmarks via the Toolbar. Had a Google, and it seems other people are saying the same, so hopefully it will get sorted during the next phase....

If it does work as I want it to, then I may move over to it.
