If I am driving along in my Cinq, and the petrol gauge light has got past the 'on when going round a left hand bend' stage and is lit all the time, how much petrol have I got left? Assuming all Cinqs have a roughly similar gauge performance.

all cinq's are like this, wait til it levels out when driving along a straight. Left hand bends seem to have the "s**t! no petrol!" feel:p

oh, I dunno - both mine take 27 litres / 6 gallons to fill from the 1/4 mark and light on level.
Best way to check is fill it from when the light comes on and see how much it takes - 35 litres is a complete tank, so subtract how much you put in from 35.

In my case this would give 35-27= 8 litres, so about 80 miles till the AA man needs to come and rescue me!

Ah, right, I was figuring it was a 30 litre tank from previous fill-up experience. OK, so I haven't checked the manual.... hey ho! Got more room to manoeuvre than I thought.

Thanks :)

MMM the fuel gagues arn't excatly accurate!! lol although they seem to be far more sorted on my mpi sei sporting! my spi was a joke however, the warning light used to flash at a quarter tank or less. U just get used to it i suppose!! But still used to get good range from a tank of fuel!! :D

Magnecor, K & N, Bosch, Peco all buzz words of my sei!

Hmm..had that fun yesterday....

Had the tank at just over the quarter mark (abt £5 in) and went 65 miles...at 85 on the motorway. Seem,ed strange...panicking 10miles from the airport, running on fumes...then did the same a few hrs later- in stationary traffic for 35 mins 5 mins from the petrol station- christ, the sound the fuel filler let out was amazing!
