Well ,as most of you know i was attempting to fit BMW 5 Series leather seats re-trimmed recently in blue and black,i bought the seats for £50 which isnt bad as they are mint apart from a bit of black glue on drivers one ,but it wil come off with terps or something ,

i wont rant on here are the pics youve been dying to see there is only one fitted at the moment but you can see the effect im going for!

How did you go about fitting them - did you mod the Beemer subframes to fit the shell?

well,

the beemer subframes have plates under the mounting holes on there subframes ,so i grinded them off,then the 2 back holes lined up perfectly,the front ones didnt line up at all,so i drilled through the cinq and put 2 m10 bolts through ,and bolted them up from underneath,perfect fit,for me anyway,for anyone shorter ,they might have problems getting reverse,and the bmw seat belt clip was in the way so i took that off ,and put the cinq one on ,and its fine,

the passenger seat will get fitted tomorrow night or possibly tonight,when i pick it up from my mates garage,

Not bad for 50 quid! Was that a full interior or just the front 2 seats? You would have had a nice profit in those if if it was a full interior and you were to sell them on.

Brilliant, keep the cinq interior though if the time ever comes to de-mod

yeh mate it was a full interior,

the seats are actually heated but i took the heater motor out from the seat because it was causing clearance issues,

i got the doorcards,rear seats,rear cards,armrests etc,all for £50,as my mate was given them from the garage he works at ,and was going to fit them into his bmw then sold it,and just didnt need interior anymore so i snapped it up like a shot,he thought i was mad and said it wouldnt fit lol

You would make the twice what you paid for it if you flogged it on a bmw forum if you ever are strapped for cash

lol im always strapped for cash,so i possibly will sell the rest soon

How much was the re-trim? Thinking of doing my cinq sporting seats in black leather (or maybe grey alcantara mix) in a year or two.

Youll get little for the rear seats on their own a full interior is your best bet, but no plans for that, you can always try though
