Technical SPI manifold, cat and exhaust on an MPI

Technical SPI manifold, cat and exhaust on an MPI

I've got a schumacher and have thought about doing this too, but have yet to learn the reasoning behind having two lambda sensors. I think that removing the CAT may screw up the fueling so a custom manifold with sports cat may be needed.

the second lambda is to check the cat is working, u can have the map altered to ignore it, or you can buy lil devices that emulate the signal the ecu is expecting

Thanks! Trying to way up the cost of tuning the the 1108 engine to about 75 horses. Might be better to drop a punto 75 MPI engine in?

before you jump to expensive custom lambada sensors you may want to take a look at the 53000 Dual Sensor: http://www.car-sound.com/catalog/universal/530.aspx It comes with 2 lambada sensors for £200 but i think the price will go down very soon as they are reasonably new to the UK. I descovered them at the Ripspeed show in Donny this year and am so pleased I did.

Hope ive helped out
Cheers

P.S. If you would like to post or share pics about the Ripspeed show refer to the 'Events' pahe of this forum.

Don't defect to the 1242 side:eek:

I went the engine way on my last project and the wallet has just recovered plus the wife :worship: has only just forgiven me (i know it was a very silly project in the end)

This time for me its back to my roots and screw what I can out of what I've got (its just the engineering challange that keeps me going)

Just imagine the satisfaction you will get out of trashing the 1242 guys with a well sorted 1108 (y) stick with it

Depending on whether I keep the Cinq or defect and buy an Almera SRI when I'm 19/20 I want to push the 1108 to it's full potential, sooooooo many chav corsas and novas round here that need pissing all over by a proper little street sleeper :D
