Right. This is nice, BBRGTi want £300 to remap my ECU to a 1242cc Engine....
I "liberated" a Punto 60 ECU from a scrappy some time ago, but given it was obtained by no exchange of payment, I have no idea whether it has an immobiliser or not.
Ive found a company near me (Camco 88) who can probably solve the immobiliser problem by recoding it and reissuing a red and blue key set for it, but my problem is how can I tell whether my current ECU has the correct wiring to cope with the immobiliser in the new ECU??
--Wait, no they cant. Only remanufactured ECUs and chips supplied.
Failing that, I'll get them to enter in a null code- or try deactivate the immobiliser...
Arse
Ill think of something witty....just wait and see............wait I might not.
