This may seem like a stupid question, but on the Cinq Sporting how does the relay box connect to the rest of the ECU? I'm talking about the relays at the front of the ECU and not those at the back!

Its because i've found two connectors (Shaped ilke figure 8's) coming out of the ECU harness, but my Cinq's an SX and doesnt have the relay box..so i'm wondering if it connects to these, as then the engine transplant seems more straightforward:)

Ill think of something witty....just wait and see............wait I might not.

You might be wrong on the diagnostic socket idea...

Both of these cables are 2 wires (the diagnostic socket is 3) and the connector is 1" wide at most.

Also, this comes from the ECU harness.. why would the ECU control the headlight adjustment? It doesnt control headlight intensity!!:D

No, the ECU doesn't control the headlights but the connector uses the same cable shroud to bunch all the cables together. It' doesn't come from the ecu, it's a little confusing but it tidies up the engine bay

OK, so thats me told. But how does the main relay box connect to the ECU?

PArt of the sporting wiring i guess, the only physical connection on the ecu is the connector that sticks to the side of it. Let me introduce you to Haynes Manuel[8D] (manual). the wiring schematics show the ecu wiring diagrams in it
