Hi guys, edna's developed and annoying new problem...

the passenger side window seal isnt attached properly, so whenever the window goes up or down it gets pulled out and dangles around, if i push it back in it doesn't clip into place properly and does the same thing over again.

the only way i can see to fix it is to take off the whole plastic trim, put the seal in properly and then put them back on together, only i cant see a safe way of getting the trim off, anyone else have any ideas?

cheers guys.

i too had the same problem and that was on my passeger side!

As mentioned the only way this will be put back into place is for the door card trim to come off!

If not confident then i would take the seal to your local garage, who fitted it in under 2 hours and charged me 25 quid for the fitting which i was pleased about. :)

I would advise not to take it to fiat who wanted 110 quid for the same job  (n)

But there is no other way unfortuneatly for putting the seal back on.

my cinqs have this, my dad fixed it..
get windows completely down, spray seal with lots of wd40 get some thinish plyers and squeeze between rubber and seal and pop, it slips in..
hope this helps...

Hi
If it`s the weather strip you mean? One on the bottom of the glass inner and outer,You have to break them to get them out(i think!!!)but a new one can be purchased from fiat dealers for £5.40 i`ve just fitted one to mine takes a couple of minutes to make sure it locates,I removed mine when we sprayed the side.
Cheers
Adrian
