Hello

The other day I replaced the lights behind my speedometer. It's a 99' 899 seicento. In the process the speedo cable became lose. In the white connector on the cable I see a square pin witch should fit in the pin on the dash but the squere pin is to far inside the cable. So it won't make contact to the dash. Is there a proper way to pull the pin up? I hope it's clear what I mean. I can post pictures tomorrow. When I drive without the dash is see the pin still turns so it's not broken :)

You may need to take it off at the gearbox end and push it up. Reconnect at you're speedo, and then back at the box.

They are a bit awkward. You can try gently pulling it with some pliers from the top, but try to make sure it does not become disconnected at the bottom.

I am pretty sure you can get at the gearbox end of the cable from the top, it is very awkward to get at.

When you put it back be careful that the threads align properly. Shouldn't need to take it to a garage.
