Standard s and sx rims are (I think...) 4" and 4 1/2" wide respectively, so you couldn't put really wide tyres on. Standard S tyres are, (I think...) 145/70 13's - you'd struggle to put bigger than 165's on those rims.
165/65 13's can be had for about £25 or so each, and would increase the gearing by 2.2%
165/60 13's are a little more, and would keep the gearing near as dammit the same.
You could always look for a second hand set of Sporting alloys, but remember you will need Sporting wheel bolts to go with the wheels, and the sporting 3mm front spacer. (set of 12 bolts and 4 locking bolts are only £25 from Fiat)
If you put wider tyres on, bear in mind that even Fiat recommend you lower it.
