I have a standard 2002 Seicento and would like to get some work done on it to make it a bit more fun to drive (if thats possible) and just a touch more slick to look at. Its just the S version and in Black (which I like). I was thinking brakes, lowering, whatever makes it a touch nippier (like I'm the slowest thing on the road). Perhaps front and rear bumpers, spoiler. Nothing outrageous just smart and a little shy looking with a small beast underneath. For some reason the car has become named Fifi so may put a little white name discreetly somewhere. Trouble is I neither have the time, the brains or tons of money to do this (I still have a Rover 420 GSI to do up as well). Can anyone suggest a good guy or girl who can do this in stages and where would I start first and what quality parts should I buy?

Might help that you know I am in Romford, Essex lol

Why didnt you just get a sporting?

Certainly on the exterior side of things what you require this will have been more than ideal

You also have the same engine as a sporting so you arent the slowest thing on the road

'Search' function on the forum is your friend, your questions are commonly asked

I bought this from new so didnt know what a sporting was at the time just bought the cheapest car I could find new. Now its my little friend and after using it as a van for a while want to fix her up. Never thought for a moment I would still have it and love it so much. Thanks for the replies will look up the info

lol, someone's been bitten by the cento-bug..
My first cento was a 899 cinq i bought for £200 (which was mega cheap for one back then) coz i needed a car. I was quite upset at the time that all i could get was a silly little fiat. Wasn't long before that little grin appeared and i started looking for sportings and turbo's etc.

Got the bug alright, I also have a big Rover 420 GSI sitting on my drive, haven't touched it for about a year. Why people need a big car is beyond me, this is so much more fun. And the stuff I get in the back of it with the seats down is unbelievable and it's a 5 seater. I'm stunned everyday.

But wonder if it can be made into a convertible or a pick up truck (a small one obviously)?

So does anyone know a good mechanic in the Romford area who can do these upgrades as I can only do the basics and the thought of changing the shocks and springs scares the s*** out of me lol

If you don't have tons of money then it would be good to look into learning how to do some of the things yourself, I lowered my cinq today and after taking the wheels off it was 5 bolts and a spring compressor to do each of the fronts, the whole job took me 2 hours cos some of the bolts were a pain in the ass to get off but thats 2 hours I didn't have to pay the mechanic.

i have a set of sporting springs that will go straight on your car i think they are about 25-30mm lower than normal ones

I would but I have a time issue and bad thumbs that make it hard to grip, but if your free lol

Sounds interesting, how much do you want for them?

20mm? I know you know your stuff, is this what I should be looking for?

Budget as long as its spread out can be anthing within reason. Its saves me buying another car after all. I might need someone to do the work, but if I know what to buy this would be easier to source.

lol@F1A7, I recon the rollcage will come later, but I do actuall get 5 people in this occassionally, but then I could always go in the Punto or Rover if I cage it.
