:bang: I love my baby, but unfortunately as i was driving her today a strange red light came on the dashboard. It looks similar to an injector. Have searched around a bit but cannot find anything similar (the car came without owners manual). It only came on when the fuel was low, and also when my fuel light comes on (which is generally when i go around corners)

Please can i have some suggestions as to what this maybe, and also as to how i can help it.. THANKS GUYS..

Ohh no could it have been any sensor, or is there a particular one. I'm worried now. Is there any more information anyone could let me have PLEASE!!!!!

Not so much a sensor going wrong necessarily, but the ECU has recieved a signal from a sensor which is outside parameters. Which car is it?

Dont use the auto with less than 10 litres in the tank.
There should be a user manual somewhere on this site.
It has similar advice to 1st sentence.

And try some petrol injector cleaner in pertol tank get it in Halfords, read instructions carefully on bottle brim tank and add correct amount of cleaner... Might be ok after and easy and cheap...

Thanks guys. Everyone is being so much help. It is a siecento sporting, and i thought it was an injector warning light, is it not? And i don't know when it was last serviced as only bought the car 2 months ago. It passed its mot with flying colours if thats any help?

If no service history, give it a major service right now.

As the man says. If the ECU warning light comes on only when the car is low on fuel, and if it's one with an external fuel filter, make sure that the "full service" includes replacing the fuel filter (it's a job that tends to be neglected).

Ok, how would i find out what would be included in a full service? (sorry if this is a stupid question)

Ask -- or demand! You want (at least):

engine and gearbox oil changed
new spark plugs and leads
Oil, air and fuel filter
Camshaft clearances checked and adjusted (if necessary)
Anti freeze drained, new anti freeze
Brake check and fresh brake fluid.

There's nothing there that a competent backstreet garage can't do, or, indeed, that you can't DIY.
