Any ideas of cost to replace the sump pan on a sporting?

It was dripping, so put the car in to have some repairs and asked them to steam clean the engine to determine where leak was coming from - BIG MISTAKE!!!! The gunk was holding the oil in, so when it was cleaned off the oil just poured out. Have asked about welding a plate on, but told it will just leak around the weld.

I had mine done for £125.

But that included doing the oil pump and having most of the head off to try and unblock an oil feed.

I can do it in around 2-3hrs...

Thanks!!! No chance of me doing any repairs myself and just spent £280 on my Cinq - annoying when I only bought the car end of Jan (teach me to buy from Ebay!!).

trust me mate, if you thought you'd got a cheap car...think again!lol. Seriously though, after a few months of ownership, it'll be fine. It's just the first months where you see why the car was sold that are a barsteward. Cost my £325 the first 3 weeks cos the entire cooling system needed replacing!

Well that £125 was within 2 weeks of a £350 engine swap that I did...I would have fixed it myself, but I needed the car for Skeg '04...

But that was one of the best £130's ive ever spent!
